Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Grand Etang National Forest
Vase placed by Lesley Ann Patten and Crane Stookey, April 3, 2001

“We were initially told to plant the vase in St. Georges but because it was so densely inhabited, and it was hard to find the right site,we ended up driving out into the forest. We chose Seven Sisters Falls and planted the vase on a fork of the stream nearby.

Part of the national park is owned by one particular family. And we met with one of the matriarchs who had recently moved back from England. She was very kind, radiating basic goodness. We wanted to take her picture but she was horrified. So you’ll just have to imagine her as the local guardian of the vase.”
