Vase planted by William Thompson and Doug Ereon on November 28th, 2015

“On the last day of our annual gathering, a friend in our sangha, Mary Newton, suggested that I collect a peace vase from Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and bury one in Amman, noting that the benefits of such a placement could bring benefit to countless beings.   I collected the vase in September/October when I attended teachings given by Rinpoche in Crestone Colorado.

In the early morning my husband Doug and I buried the vase at a high point in downtown Amman, near first circle and off an area called Rainbow Street. After we planted the vase, I repeated the prayer that Rinpoche suggested that I recite, the refuge prayer of Thang Tong Gyalpo Rinpoche:

“I and all mother sentient beings, equal to space ~ Take refuge in the Guru, who is the precious Buddha ~ We take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and the assemblies of the Sangha~ We take refuge in the three [roots] ~ Lama, Yidam and Dakini ~ We take refuge in our own mind which is the luminous, empty dharmakaya.’

May all sentient beings benefit and may this vase bring peace, health and prosperity to this restive region.”
