Wat Luang Khao, Champassak
Vase planted by Nicolas Leprevost, June 2013

“Champassak was one of the 3 capitals of Laos, the southern one. In the past, it was a big town.   The vase was dropped exactly in the middle of the Mekong river, in front of the monastery Wat Luang Khao.

It took me some time to find the right spot, despite the opportunity of using a boat.  I first tried to swim to drop the vase, but the current was too strong. So I did end up finding a boat with the help of the monks of the monastery.  We had to negotiate about the price which was not so easy, but finally we made it.   The name of the boat driver is Phut.   This time my friend On was not there but still she participated by lending me her motorbike in order to reach Champassak from Pakse.”
