Vase planted by Andrey Kim, August 24th, 2017

The vase was planted at the Ajina-Tepa hill. Ajina Tepa is one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries in Central Asia, situated at a distance of 12 km east from the city of Kurgan-Tiube. It was built in the 7th century in the Vakhsh River valley. On the eastern part of the corridor on the temple side, a giant statue of Buddha in Nirvana, the biggest Buddha clay statue in the world, 13 meters, 6 ton, was found. The site is being considered to be put on the World Heritage list of sites that have “outstanding universal value” to the world.
