Vase planted by a gathering of Buddhists and local members of Plymouth interfaith group, September 24, 2000

“About 35 people attended.  Clouds of Tibetan incense and various prayers accompanied the burial.  We were fortunate to have in Plymouth, a Buddhist monk, Stuart (Tenzin Gyaltsen) who had been ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.  Stuart is a native of the area and had returned to live here.  He was able to lay the vase to rest.  After a short ceremony, we had tea at the local interfaith group’s house.  All commented on the value and good feeling of the afternoon and we now plan to inaugurate an annual walk up to the vase.  It is situated on a quiet plantation in the ‘deer park’.”  (Jonathan Marshall)
